The Dutch branch is also experiencing growth. Sales manager Ronald Haan: "On the one hand this has to do with the quality of the cables and related products, no concessions are made to this. In addition, we have a very wide range of cables with various properties. Ranging from cables resistant to high pressure and salt (sea) water to cables with high wear resistance or approved for the food industry or clean room applications."

On the other hand, the company tries to think along with its industrial customers as much as possible and develop solutions that offer serious added value. For example, in the area of logistics, the supply chain or with regard to the efficient construction of machines and installations. Assembling connectors and housing a multitude of cables in a cable trunk, for example, is a labor-intensive and sometimes error-prone job that involves a fair amount of working hours. Complete cable caterpillar

Yes, indeed. Subsidiary EKD Systems developed completely assembled systems consisting of a cable caterpillar - made of stainless steel, steel or plastic - including the required cabling with connectors. Fully tailored to the specific application and customer requirements. Whether it is a single system for a unique machine or an entire series. The advantages for the machine and plant builder are clear: the entire system can be installed in the machine in one go and the cables can then be connected plug&play. This saves construction time and reduces the risk of errors. In addition, the product has a relatively low ROI and this way of working is a partial solution to the labour shortage. Haan: "In the cable tracks, by the way, we not only lay electrical and data cables, but also hoses for specific media. Air for pneumatic installations, oil for hydraulic users but also water hoses, for example. This makes our focus very broad and we also serve panel builders, port companies (harbor cranes) and the world of alternative energy."

Stock

Finally, the Helukabel group is proud owner of the largest automated cable warehouse in Europe. This is where a significant portion of the products are held in stock. The products are taken out of the meter-high racks fully automatically by robot and brought to the logistics department. Especially for customers, a balustrade has been realized at this location in Germany that provides a beautiful view of the "anthill" of robots, which perform their task without getting in each other's way.
