Customized solutions at competitive prices

Eisses Aandrijftechniek focuses on supplying standard DC motors for custom applications. The company is now celebrating its 25th anniversary and is looking forward to the next 25 years. At the helm are Gerwalt and Natasja Elzerman. "We want to stay as small as possible for as long as possible," Natasja states. What exactly she means by this, she explains later in this article.

"Customer demand has changed somewhat in recent years," Gerwalt begins. "Customers want to be unburdened more. They more often opt for customized solutions instead of products they still have to assemble or modify themselves. In addition, due to the shortage of technicians, there is a growing interest in automation and the energy transition is higher and higher on the agenda. And, of course, efficiency and good value for money remain important focal points for securing or strengthening competitiveness now and in the future. With our product range and our cooperation partners, we can respond to these trends."

More than products

He elaborates on this. "We specialize in DC motors with worm gears, planetary gears, without gears and actuators. With this we target equipment manufacturers and the service/maintenance market is of course also part of this. We can realize many customer-specific modifications in-house, but for specialized modifications we rely on our carefully selected expert partners. For example, we work with HedoN Electronic developments to develop and supply a suitable controller for our engines. In addition, we work with a professional assembly company that performs machining on the motors for us, allowing the customer to place the motor directly into their assembly."

AGV kit

Eisses drive technology is a distributor of Nidec Motors & Actuators. Natasja: "Since 2024, we have further expanded our distribution agreement with Nidec, making us a distributor of Nidec Automation as well. This way we can offer new motors developed for industrial automation, think servo motors, BLDC motors, wheel motors, frameless motors, controllers and complete AGV drive sets." Gerwalt: "A great example are the AGV kits that we will also be showing at WOTS. They are complete plug-and-play kits that consist of 2 wheel motors, transmission, wheels, controller and cables. Customers can purchase all the individual components and use them to build their own AGV for the desired application, without having to approach multiple suppliers. Given the growing shortage of technicians, AGVs are a solution that will continue to grow significantly." Natasja adds: "In addition, the great advantage is that we can hitch a ride on both Nidec Automation's expertise and large volumes, allowing us to supply excellent quality products at a good price, while also keeping them in stock here. Thanks to our stock of around 100,000 motors, we can offer interested parties a solution at very short notice."

Personal approach

Being and staying affordable is very important to Eisses Aandrijftechniek, as is customer focus. "We have customers who have been knocking on our door from the very beginning with whom, after 25 years, we are still working together with complete satisfaction. What sets us apart is that we are able to supply customized solutions with a standard range at competitive prices. This is possible through the combination of large volumes of standard products that we can offer as a distributor and our extensive partner network. Each partner has its own specialty so that qualitative adjustments can be made, in which we have a very strict control policy. We have a passion for technology and are happy to sit down with developers to solve certain problems, should the need arise. For every problem there is a solution and we like to help with that." Gerwalt and Natasja look back on the past 25 years with pride, but at the same time they also look to the future. "We want to continue to grow but at the same time we want to be able to continue to give maximum attention to our customers with a relatively small team. In short, we want to stay as small as possible for as long as possible," Natasja concludes.
