Application of floor-standing stainless steel cabinets for large installations

At the heart of production

Floor-standing stainless steel cabinets are used as control cabinets for larger installations in particular. We often encounter these cabinets in the dairy industry, food industry and compost processing. Floor standing cabinets are placed 'in the field', so they must be waterproof and made of stainless steel. In compost processing, for example, a lot of work is done with aggressive agents such as ammonia, which stainless steel cabinets can withstand well. Usually a large control cabinet is needed to accommodate all the components in the cabinet. An upright stainless steel cabinet is often used for a processing line in a factory, as a central place where all the controls are mounted. It then contains, for example, variable speed drives or large power distribution systems. The floor-standing cabinet is thus the heart of the machine.

The space required determines the right cabinet

Because the operator basically does not need to access a floor-standing cabinet on a daily basis, there is usually no control element on a floor-standing stainless steel cabinet. For this purpose, CC Nederland has smaller stainless steel cabinets and control cabinets in its product range. A touchscreen and/or push button can be mounted on these. This way wall cabinets used for smaller local controls, for example at a conveyor belt. The name says it all: wall cabinets, by definition, you hang on the wall. If a lot of weight has to be accommodated in the cabinet, it is better to choose a floor-standing cabinet. So the size and weight of the installation are particularly decisive for which cabinet is suitable.

Floor standing cabinets for export to America

All ILINOX floor-standing cabinets have a UL seal of approval, a safety mark for the American market. This describes, for example, the degree of watertightness, which in the Netherlands is described by IP values. The most commonly used value is NEMA 4X. ILINOX cabinets meet this requirement. The high degree of watertightness of ILINOX floor-standing enclosures is unique in the market. Furthermore, the UL seal of approval prescribes how large the panel thickness must be for a given enclosure size. All standard ILINOX floor-standing cabinets meet these guidelines. In short, for machine builders exporting to America, CC Netherlands offers the widest package available, at the best price.

How to choose the right closet?

CC Netherlands has the floor standing cabinets from ILINOX in its range, also called upright stainless steel cabinets. We offer four different series: the CC series, the CX-A series, the MX series and the CX-H series. When do you choose which floor-standing cabinet?

CC series

The CC series (where CC stands for Compact Cabinet) consists of cabinets that come complete with a fixed roof, sidewalls and back wall. As a result, this is the least expensive variant. Moreover, these are the only stainless steel floor standing cabinets available with a height of 1640 mm. This is the smallest floor standing cabinet in our range. In addition, you can choose a standard cabinet in the CC series with a size of 1840 mm. All cabinets in this series are only available with a depth of 400 mm. Do you need more space? CX-A series

The cabinets in the CX-A series are the best-selling floor-standing cabinets. These cabinets have a fixed roof and removable sidewalls. This makes the cabinets modular and you can easily link the cabinets to make them even wider. This can also come in handy if there is a need for subsequent modification on the installation and an additional cabinet is needed. The cabinets are available with a height of 1800 mm or 2000 mm. As for the depth, 400, 500 or 600 mm can be chosen. For this series it is also possible to have a custom cabinet made with specific requirements and dimensions. MX series

The MX series includes cabinets that are completely modular. Thus, the back wall and roof are also detachable here. This series is also available with a height of 1800 mm or 2000 mm and a standard enclosure depth of 500, 600 or 800 mm. This large depth may be necessary, for example, for large frequency converters driving large motors. The depth of 800 mm can also be applied if the cabinet must be accessible from two sides. A door can then be mounted on both the front and back. Of course, we can also make a custom cabinet in this series and provide the cabinets with laser cut-outs.

CX-H series

The CX-H series is unique and developed specifically for the food industry. ILINOX is the only cabinet manufacturer to produce HD floor standing cabinets. These cabinets have, among other things, blue silicone seals and a sloping roof, in accordance with EHEDG. These are the guidelines for good hygiene in the food industry. With a sloping roof, no dirt can remain on the roof and good drainage is ensured. A hygienic design, also called HD, also means that the chance of dirt accumulation is minimized. For this, everything needs to be smooth.

Note that the guidelines basically apply only to cabinets that hang above food. However, large floor-standing cabinets never hang above food. Nevertheless, it is a common policy to furnish everything according to the hygiene guidelines. Moreover, this makes the cabinets easy to clean. For example, the seals are resistant to aggressive cleaning agents. This is why our floor-standing cabinets are also available with a hygienic design.

Custom

Need other dimensions than we offer in the web shop? No problem. Customization is also always an option. By the way, customization does not only mean a cabinet made to measure, but it is also possible, for example, to have the cabinet delivered with drilled holes or cut-outs where needed.

CX-A and MX series accessories: essential for a complete cabinet

To complete your CX-A or MX series cabinet, you need a base, sidewalls, a bottom plate and a mounting plate. This is because the CX-A and MX cabinets you order are still open at the bottom and do not have sidewalls. In addition, a mounting plate and lifting eyes can provide a solution when setting up and placing the floor-standing cabinet. Furthermore, the cabinets can be equipped with adjustable feet, document holders and LED cabinet lighting.
