Datasensing safety light curtains SH4 series

With the introduction of the latest series of SH4 safety light curtains, Datasensing shows what this new brand name wants to stand for. 'Flexible, innovative and widely applicable'.

Datasensing is the new brand name of the former Datalogic business unit Sensors, Safety & Machine Vision and of with brand Micro Detectors, which Datalogic acquired in 2021.

Therefore, with more than 50 years of experience in designing, developing, manufacturing optical sensors, Datasensing is a unique supplier in Industrial Automation.

The new SH4 series is designed for a wide variety of safety applications. From simple walk-in security to complex security applications for finger or hand security with partial, dynamic or full muting with 2 or 4 muting signals.

The mechanical density of this series includes both IP65, and IP67. By stating both IP ratings, Datasensing indicates that this series meets both IP ratings. In addition, this series can operate in an environment of -30...55 °C.

The detection area covers the entire light curtain, eliminating a ''dead zone.'' This allows the light curtains to be used even in small recessed areas, increasing flexibility of use. The detection heights are from 300-2250mm.

The advantage of this is that the light curtains can be placed even closer to the hazardous area of a machine. This has the advantage of making the floor area of the protected machine as small as possible.

The built-in alignment LEDs simplify installation of the light curtain even when using mirrors and at long working distances of up to 70 meters!

The wifi connection allows either a PC, Tablet or Mobile phone to configure and monitor the light display.
