We are proud to announce that EKB has won the European tender for the supply of Low Voltage Distribution Devices and Motor Control Centers (LSV & MCC) for the WarmtelinQ project carried out by N.V. Nederlandse Gasunie. This prestigious order highlights EKB's expertise and commitment to high quality, sustainable energy technology.
The order includes the supply of advanced LSVs and MCCs for various heat transfer stations (WOS) such as, for example, The Hague Center and Kethelplein. These stations play a crucial role in the heat transition and contribute to more sustainable energy management in the Netherlands. With a term of four years, and the possibility of two extensions of four years each, this framework agreement represents a long-term cooperation focused on innovation and sustainability. The framework agreement also applies to the supply of LSVs and MCCs for future Gasunie projects in the field of sustainability such as hydrogen and CO2 storage.
The evaluation and award of the contract was based on the most economically advantageous tender, with a strong emphasis on best value for money. EKB scored highly on criteria such as on-time delivery, quality and sustainability. By guaranteeing delivery time and providing solid guarantees for component availability and factory capacity, EKB demonstrates that it is a reliable partner for this project.
Safe operation of the installations has also been taken into account. These comply with Arc Flash Class B so that employees on the electrical installations are protected against arc flash energy.
In line with Gasunie's sustainability goals, EKB presented innovative solutions that contribute to social return, circularity and emission reduction. These solutions include using sustainable materials and processes, as well as employing people with a distance to the labor market. This commitment to sustainability and social responsibility underscores EKB's vision of a greener future.
