The right training is a prerequisite for successful automation. After all, both basic knowledge of drive and control technology and detailed product knowledge are required to achieve an efficient solution. itsme has therefore developed a wide range of training courses. Brand-independent, given by technicians and, if desired, fully customer-specific. But also practical, so that participants can get to work immediately afterwards.
itsme is rightly a specialist in industrial automation. With a wide range of electrical and mechanical products and related services, the company - together with its technical department - supports customers with the design, implementation, operation and maintenance of their industrial automation solution.
A key success factor for itsme is its employees. Technically well versed - both theoretically and practically - and able to translate this knowledge into concrete solutions or a simple explanation. Stefan Schilperoord, manager of itsme Industrial Automation, says: "Our Technical Support department is managed by our own technical specialists and over the years has grown into a true knowledge center that is frequently consulted by our customers. And that makes sense. Automation is not something you just do and in addition to our broad, general knowledge about automation, we have in-depth knowledge about the components of well-known brands such as Siemens, Danfoss, Pilz, Schneider Electric and Festo. It must be very crazy if we can't help."
Because the same questions were repeatedly asked of the Technical Support department, itsme decided to use it as the basis for various training courses and workshops. Given as a standard module at one of its own branches or customer-specific on location. This new service was a great success: last year, more than eighty training sessions were given to some five hundred trainees. Schilperoord: "The package is very diverse and in principle brand-independent, so that participants learn about, for example, machine safety, SCADA software, Profibus, Motion, industrial networks, PLCs, drives and HMI. But also, on the contrary, we can provide specific training on certain products of the brands just mentioned."
In total, itsme developed 65 training courses for both beginners and advanced students that are based on a standard offering but can be adapted to suit your needs. For example, by combining a number of modules and thus reducing the number of course days. In all cases, the training courses are practically oriented. After the theory has been covered in the morning, students actually get to work in the afternoon. Either in itsme's training rooms or in their own environment. Schilperoord: "They are not so much taught by a trainer as by a technician. Someone who knows their world and starts from practice. These are our own seven trainers as well as several freelancers and employees of our partner companies. By the way, these people are available not only during the training, but also outside of it. Aftercare' is very important to us. Therefore, questions can always be asked via our Technical Support department."
How well the training courses are liked is evidenced in part by the Cedeo recognition. Cedeo is the independent certifying body for the HR sector. On the basis of periodic customer satisfaction surveys among purchasers of training courses and other HR services, Cedeo assesses providers on quality, continuity and customer focus. Recognition is granted when at least 80% of clients are "satisfied to very satisfied" with the services provided. Schilperoord: "It is with some pride that I can report that we achieved a score of 100% in the last evaluation."
On itsme's online training portal, all individual training courses are clearly displayed. Here, you can also find all the information you need, such as the objective and duration of the training course, starting dates, costs, location, required prior training, suitable further training(s), and so on. In addition, you can put together customized training courses and reserve seats for training courses that have not yet been scheduled.
