What is AXYR® connection technology?

ILME's AXYR® connector technology is specifically designed to make tool-free connector solutions quick and easy to install. AXYR® inserts and modules are designed for heavy-duty connectors in industrial environments. The most distinguishing feature is that wiring can be connected easily and directly without the use of tools.

Technical features and benefits of AXYR®

1. Tool-free assembly

The revolutionary aspect of the AXYR® inner works is the ability to connect the inner works without tools. This offers significant time-saving benefits. Mechanics and assembly workers can quickly and easily change wiring and connections without complicated tools or procedures. This results in higher production rates.

2. Suitable for solid and flexible connection wires up to 2.5 mm2

The modular nature of the AXYR® inserts offer a high degree of flexibility. They are suitable for direct insertion of solid connection wires or wires with a wire end sleeve without the use of tools. Flexible wires can also be connected by first opening the connection chamber with the orange actuator. The suitable wire diameter for the AXYR® inner works is 0.25 mm² to 2.5 mm² (AWG 24-14), with or without ferrules.

3. Up to 48% space saving due to high density

An important advantage of the AXYR® inner works and MIXO modules is their high pole density. Significantly more poles can be connected in the same housing. Below is an overview of the commonly used standard 16A inner works and the number of poles when using AXYR® in the same construction form:

• 6-pole is used with AXYR® 10-pole
• 10-pole is used with AXYR® 18-pole
• 16-pole is used with AXYR® 32-pin
• 24-pole is used with AXYR® even 46-pole!

For the compact 3- and 4-pole internals of the CK series, there are AXYR® solutions up to 8-pole available. By using the new AXYR® internals, a smaller and cheaper housing can be selected, providing additional cost savings for the overall connector.

4. Many forms of construction available

The new AXYR® inserts are available in the following construction forms:
CK "21.21", CQ "32.13", 6P "44.27", 10P "57.27", 16P "77.27" and 24P "104.27".

AXYR® modules are available for the ILME modular MIXO series in the variants:

• 6-pole 16A/500V
• 8-pole 16A/400V
• 12-pin 10A/250V
  

The pitch sizes of the AXYR® MIXO modules correspond to the current ILME MIXO shrink modules. and are compatible with modular modules from other connector vendors such as Harting, Phoenix Contact, Weidmüller and Lapp EPIC. Thus, users of these brands can easily switch and enjoy the benefits.
