"In industry, the importance of automation solutions is growing rapidly. After all, if you can have the various production processes closely linked, a lot of time and money can be saved. We let our oven technology connect seamlessly with the production process," states Maarten Vogelaar, sales manager Weiss Technik. He elaborates on this in this article.
Weiss Technik specializes in climate simulation systems, furnace technology, air conditioning technology and pharmaceutical Technik. The industrial oven technology department covers a wide range of heating technologies. In the process, Weiss Technik also sells its own industrial ovens under the brand name VötschOven and makes customized oven solutions, among other things. One of these furnaces is the industrial walk-through furnace. "Walk-through ovens are used in various applications for the continuous processing of products. Products are moved from the drop-off location via a conveyor belt toward the oven. Here, continuous and uniform heat is provided. We supply various modular or custom-made industrial conveyor ovens for continuous processing of products. They are particularly suitable for various applications such as heat treating components in automation lines, tempering plastics or curing adhesives on electrical components."
The ovens are available in modular design or to customer specifications where the airflow can be blown in horizontally, vertically or on both sides. "With these ovens it is possible to set up the process fully automated, from the moment the product arrives in the system. But delivering back to the starting point is also a possibility. Nothing has to be done manually, allowing the oven to be fully integrated into the factory."
Vogelaar gives some examples. "A flow-through oven with swing circulation conveyor is ideally suited for adhesive curing on stators for electric motors in the automotive industry. The oven reaches temperatures of up to 200 degrees Celsius. Manual or automatic loading and unloading can be selected. A cooling zone is present under the heating zone (in the return), measuring and reading equipment is present for product traceability, and there is a pyrometer for non-contact measurement of product temperature." A hybrid oven is also an option. "In this, infrared (IR) is combined with convection. The product first receives a rapid temperature boost through IR, after which the product disappears into the convection oven for the 'dwell phase' and the cooling phase. This requires less energy to heat up the product compared to preheating with convection. An alternative is the combination of microwave with convection."
These are just two examples from a wide range of products. "Those interested in learning more about industrial furnace technology or Weiss Technik's other specializations can pay us a visit during WoTS in the World of Electronics."
