The first leg of the 'Make It Excellent' tour, organized by OMRON Industrial Automation and Dassault Systèmes, was completed with great success in the Netherlands. For several days, the OMRON European Product Care Centre in 's-Hertogenbosch was visited by employees, customers and press. The tour offered inspiring presentations and impressive live demonstrations of the latest innovations in industrial automation and virtual twins.
During the event, visitors were able to experience firsthand how the combination of virtual twins and automation technologies can innovate manufacturing. Attendees gained insight into how virtual twins can simulate production processes, allowing for faster innovations, shorter start-up times and reduced operational risks. In addition to virtual twins, augmented reality and predictive (predictive) maintenance were also discussed, which allow companies to continuously optimize their operational processes to stay ahead of digitalization.
Fernando Colás, CEO of OMRON Industrial Automation Europe, looks back on the event with satisfaction: "The successful kickoff of the tour in the Netherlands confirms the need to seamlessly integrate the physical and digital worlds into today's production landscape. The live demonstrations of virtual twins showed our customers and partners how they can achieve greater efficiency, flexibility and scalability in their production processes."
Philippe Bartissol, Vice President of the Industrial Equipment Industry at Dassault Systèmes, added: "Collaborating with OMRON on this tour highlights our shared commitment to driving innovation in manufacturing. Virtual twins enable manufacturers to digitally simulate production lines, achieve full traceability and address operational challenges faster. This helps companies ensure consistently high quality and minimize downtime, which is essential to stay ahead of the competition."
The tour's next stops are Spain in November and France in February.
